Randal Morton - has been playing banjo since 1969. Absorbing all the traditional styles of Bluegrass banjoist and adding other forms of music influences (Jazz, Classical, Pop, Country and Dixieland) as the years have past.  He has taught since the age of 16. Along with his twin brother Greg on guitar and Mark O'Connor he won the 1975 Banjo National Championship in Winfield, KS. Also, he has conducted numerous Banjo Programs and Workshops through the years with John Hartford, Carl Jackson, Bela Fleck and many more... Mel Bay has honored Randal in two of Mel Bay's publications. The Winfield Winners National Banjo Champions and Banjo 2000 A Compilation of Professional Artist. He has performed and recorded with numerous top artist and the list goes on. Randal was the Solo Banjoist for 4 straight years at The Grand Casino in Tunica, MS. This is where he was tagged with the nickname "The Banjoman". He has also toured Europe and the Orient on U.S.O. / D.O.D Shows.

Randal loves to teach and is currently teaching both banjo and guitar here in his home town of Memphis. He performs locally in Memphis with the Bluegrass band "Grassfire". Band members consisting of Brad Robb, Robert Dickerson and Dwayne Harris. He also performs weekly with Phil Barnes and another Alternative Jazz, Blues & Bluegrass band called the "The Minivan Blues Band".
