We need to be sure that there are sufficient MABA brochures at each of the music venues around the city that have agreed to make these available to their customers.

Mark’s new column highlighting a current MABA member was well-received last month.
NewsGrass will be distributed at
LOL on Saturdays to all MABA members present at the jam. The remaining
NewsGrass will be labeled and mailed out to the remaining membership that
afternoon special thanks to Joe-Edith
Activities – John Gay (no report)
Sam reported that John Gay is still working on arranging a time for MABA to play on the Collierville square one Saturday in the near future
John is also arranging a date for

Sam reported that we have approximately 210 paid-up members, 10 honorary members, for a total of 220.
Education Jim Phillips (no report)
Sam reported that Jim Phillips will hold a Harmony Workshop on April 14th at 7:00 pm at Lonnie Gaither’s home.
A bass workshop will be held at LOL on April 23rd. Steve Craig will teach the workshop.
We need to be sure that each workshop is written-up in NewsGrass.

Delta Blue, Howard and Mavis Godson and friends, James and Jesse Russom, Jim Phillips, Special Edition, and Loosahatchie Grass
Lea Talley, Bruce White, Larry Hime, Steve Craig, Andy Willamson, Christine Donhardt, Mark Lang, and Doc Adams; Collierville Health and Rehabilitation Center. $25.27 was spent for an ice cream social for the residents of the Collierville Rehabilitation Center.
Delta Blue, Wolf River Travelers and Ritchie Shulman and his contra band are scheduled to play in April at Carestone Nursing Home in Bartlett.
The Bunny Run for Special Kids (organized by our own Karen Hudson) was held at Audubon Park. Jim Phillips, Sam Ketchum, Ken Fortney, Bob Waters played. They were joined by a group of high school girls that added new levels of rhythm to bluegrass music.
Lucy Opry – Woody Marshall
Rhonda Vincent concert on May 7th at BPAC has been sold out.
The Roland White Band from Nashville will play at BPAC on May 6th.
Banjo
player Richard Bailey (from the Roland White Band) will hold at BPAC during
that weekend. Interested members should sign-up for the workshop.
Kirby, Apple, and Rounds will be at The Lucy Opry on June 11th.
Bob Waters reported that there was a disappointing turnout for the Larry Stephenson Band. Bob suggested that MABA needs to do more to support the Lucy.

Three cards were sent to MABA member in March.
April 16th - LOL will not be available for the Saturday jam. Sam is looking for another venue for this date. Bob suggested he contact John-Charles Wilson at the Agri-Center or someone at Strings and Things
The Arlington Festival will be held in April. See Craig for details.
No Saturday jam at LOL on May 7th because of the bluegrass festival at BPAC.
Delta Blue will play gospel bluegrass at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church on June 26th.
