"Ghost River"
Ghost River is a harmony based husband and wife duet reminiscent of sixties folk groups with a present day bluegrass sound. Playing a mix of vintage bluegrass standards and a variety of folk tunes, all with strong harmony and instrumentation, they weave a musical picture of a simpler time. Don and Faith Peters have been performing together since 1967 as a folk duet and fronting various bands throughout the years. They have performed as the featured group in concerts, as well as opened for various national acts in the Jesus Music years (1970's). During that time they recorded a 45rpm single and an album entitled "Down Home, Birmingham". Ghost River performed for several years as a full bluegrass band and perform now as a folk/bluegrass duet. Don and Faith are regulars at MABA jams and at the Friday night Collierville Square jam. They also play regularly on the square in Mountain View, Arkansas.
